Like everything else in 2020, our Christmas Eve worship will look a little different this year. Read below to learn about our worship options and plan for how you and yours will honor the gift of Christ this Christmas. I know we will feel the loss of normal traditions this year. My hope and prayer for us, is that this Holy Night would be sacred to us in new ways, and the power of Christ's light in the midst of the darkness would be palpable to us all.

We will hold an in-person outdoor Christmas Eve service in our barn at 5:00pm. This will be similar in style to our Evening Prayer Service and similar in length. We will tell the story of Christ's birth, celebrate communion and close our time of worship singing Silent Night together. In order to ensure we can safely gather, you need to sign-up ahead of time to reserve your spot for worship. You can either worship in the barn or from your car in a spot in the parking lot. Sign up for the style of worship that will work best for you. We do plan to rent a commercial heater for the barn that will help warm the space, but definitely bundle up! Like all of our gatherings, we ask you to maintain social distance from others and to wear a mask.

If this service fills up, we plan to host an additional service in the barn at 8:30pm. Please sign-up soon, to help us plan accordingly. Click here to sign-up via Sign-up Genius. If you have trouble with the online sign-up, email the church office and we will be happy to sign-up for you.

Our full Christmas Eve service will be live-streamed from our sanctuary to our Facebook page at 7:00pm. In addition to special music, our children and youth will help tell the story of Christmas via video, and Pastor Clare will reflect upon how "On this Night, We are Those Who Dream." We encourage you to find a candle in your home that you can use as we all light the Christ Candle together and close our worship with Silent Night.

Families with children (littles through 5th grade) will have a porch delivery the week of Christmas with everything their family will need to share in an interactive family worship from home. If it works for your family, know that we would love to welcome kiddos to our worship in the barn as well.  If your family plans to attend, you can do family worship in addition to our barn service that evening or as a separate family activity that week.
