Join with us as we celebrate 25 years!

We are so grateful to be able to celebrate 25 years of life and ministry on Sunday, November 19th of this year. You can help us celebrate in four important ways!

  1. Worship with Us — Join us for our anniversary worship either in person or online at 10:30am on November 19th! If you can come in person, we would love for you to stay and join us for our anniversary luncheon immediately following worship.
  2. Legacy of Love — Bring or mail in a heart (4-5 inches in height and width) made out of paper or fabric that somehow represents you/your family. These hearts will be combined to make a cross that will bless our anniversary worship. We are grateful for all the people over the years whose love has been a part of this community's life.
  3. Testimonies of Thanksgiving — Share a memory or words about what this community has meant or means to you/your family. These can be written or received as short video clips. Email, mail or bring them to the church by November 12th, so they can be incorporated into our celebration.
  4. Gifts in Gratitude — As part of our 25th Anniversary Celebration, we launched an initiative to pay off our church’s mortgage. That debt was originally $660,000, but through the faithfulness of so many over the years, will be $275,400 come December. Learn more about this effort below. If you would like to make a donation to this initiative, it is a wonderful way for us to all give thanks for the past twenty-five years of this community’s life and to lay the foundation for its next twenty-five years.

our Tree of Generosity

We had $187,000 pledge in lead gifts to our anniversary fundraising effort and are hopeful we can fill in our tree of generosity fully by raising the remaining $88,400 to reach our goal. If you would like to make a donation to our anniversary fundraising effort, you can mail a donation to the church at the address below or donate online and select our 25th Anniversary Mortgage Paydown on our giving platform. We are so grateful for all the people that will help us lay this foundation for the future of Christ's ministries here!

The Session has the following financial goals, which will enable us to continue to answer God’s call upon us both now and into the future. Paying off our mortgage in 2023 will equip us to prioritize these goals over the next five years.

  1. Balance our Budget — By paying off our mortgage we will be able to once again have a balanced budget, which is critical for the long-term sustainability of our ministries.

  2. Move Toward Tithing our Budget for Mission Outside the Walls of our Church — When we pay off our mortgage, we will dedicate an additional $2500 of our budget toward Mission outside the walls of our church, and will pledge to increase that by 1% of our budget each year, until we are a tithing congregation, with 10% of our budget allocated toward Mission.

  3. Create and Fund a Building Maintenance Fund — Our church building is aging and is requiring more significant maintenance and repair. We will create an emergency fund for our building, that will allow us to respond to any major issues on our property as they come. Our targeted balance for this fund is $25,000.

  4. Sustain our Current Staff and Ministries — We are blessed with an incredibly talented staff, who are dedicated to our community, its ministries and people and make a great team here. We recognize how critical our staff is to our life and ministries here. Some of our staff is funded through grants and it has been a challenge as of late to keep up with the pace of inflation when it comes to compensation. We want to be able to grow our personnel budget to retain and sustain our current staff in today’s market and so that we are ready to address future staffing needs as they arise.

  5. Continue the Renovation of the Barn — We have begun the renovation of the barn so that it can be a more functional and welcoming gathering space on our property, and could potentially become a venue space we could rent as an additional revenue stream for our ministries. We will be eligible for capital funding from a couple of sources that could help us in this work in 2025, which we plan to apply for so the renovations on the barn could continue at that time.
